Somali Researchers Association (SRA) maintains a nationwide network of researchers, field coordinators, supervisors and enumerators who can support research and monitoring assignments across Somalia.

Through locally recruited and trained teams, SRA can reach urban, peri-urban, rural and, where conditions permit, remote communities. Local knowledge helps our teams understand community dynamics, languages, accessibility and the cultural context of each assignment.

Field Management and Quality Assurance

Field assignments are coordinated centrally and implemented through regional field coordinators, supervisors and trained enumerators. Depending on the assignment, SRA can support the complete fieldwork process from planning to final data delivery.

Our approach includes:

  • Selection of field teams according to location and required expertise
  • Enumerator and supervisor training
  • Questionnaire translation and contextual adaptation
  • Pilot testing before full data collection
  • Daily monitoring of fieldwork progress
  • GPS, timestamp and photographic verification where required

Local Knowledge, National Reach
